Raptor Road Trip Educational,Nature/Outdoor 17100 NW Sauvie Island Road, Portland, OR

Sauvie Island - Explore Sauvie Island in search of magnificent eagles, hawks and falcons. Naturalists and hawk experts host activities at four sites around the island. Enjoy guided bird viewing, meet live raptors and see hawk identification displays. Free hot drinks and donuts in the morning. (Feb 4 9am-2pm)

Mochitsuki Festival Educational,Entertainment/Music 1825 SW Broadway Dr, Portland, Or

Portland State University - The 21st annual Mochitsuki event is a family-friendly festival offering a feast for the senses, with food, art, performances, and many exceptional hands-on cultural experiences for all ages. New this year is a kimono dressing area, where families can dress in traditional Japanese attire for photos provided by Newcon PDX.Enjoy food with rich cultural significance. There will be mochi pounding demonstrations with Utsuki-Kai throughout the day, free mochi samples by Konko Church, and children’s bento cooking classes with Daizu Kitchen. Indulge in appetizing Japanese fare. Plus, take advantage of the opportunity to purchase these foods to enjoy at home! (Jan 29 11am-4pm)

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm - The Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest is an invitation from our family to yours to enjoy all things that make spring in the Northwest. Whale Watching Week Nature/Outdoor Depoe Bay, OR

Depoe Bay - The Whale Watching Spoken Here® program places volunteers at great whale watching sites during the two official watch weeks. Our official Whale Watch Weeks typically take place between the Christmas Holiday and New Year's day and during the last week in March. For more than 30 years, our trained volunteers have helped visitors watch whales at sites in three states along the Pacific Northwest coast.

We definitely know whale watching. Learn more about whales at the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay year round, or join us at any of our locations during the Whale Watch Weeks for an amazing display of ocean life! (Mar 25-31)

Chinese New Year Celebration Entertainment/Music 239 NW Everett St, Portland, Or

Lan Su Chinese Garden - earn more about Chinese New Year, the most colorful and joyous of all Chinese festivals during Lan Su’s two-week celebration.  The celebration kicks off on Saturday, January 28 with “Rolling in the Wealth,” a traditional good fortune and prosperity activity of rolling oranges and gold coins through Lan Su’s front door. “Rolling in the Wealth” is followed by a lion dance performance , and much more! Every guest visiting on January 28 will also receive a hong bao, or traditional lucky red envelope. (Jan 28 10am-4pm)

Family Fiesta Entertainment/Music 346 SW Walnut St, Portland, Or

M&M Marketplace - Spin the wheel and show off your game-playing skills at the first-ever City of Hillsboro Family Fiesta.The Family Fiesta will have games, music, art, and fun activities for all ages, including a photo booth, goodie bags, and prizes. The lively marketplace also has food and market vendors. While you’re there, get to know the City of Hillsboro employees who provide essential services for all Hillsboro residents, including from Hillsboro’s Library, Parks & Recreation Department, Fire Department, and many more. 10th annual Chowder Challenge Entertainment/Music 3901 N Williams Ave., Portland, Or

Lompoc Fifth Quadrant - Patrons (ages 12 and up) pay $10 for a tasting tray featuring a dozen two-ounce samples of New England-style clam chowders served in non-labeled tasting cups. After tasting all entries, attendees vote for their favorite. The chowder receiving the most votes is named the People’s Choice Winner and takes home the coveted Chowder Cup and a cash prize; awards are also given for second and third place.

The event also features live music, a beer garden, a raffle with gift cards from the participants, and pub food for purchase. The event is family friendly and open to all ages. (Feb 20 12-3pm)

Keller Auditorium - Attention Odd Squad fans! Things are about to get very odd in YOUR town, and Ms. O needs YOU to help solve the case. ODD SQUAD LIVE! is springing into action on stage in this action-packed, laugh-out-loud adventure where kids get to participate in solving a seriously strange case. When agents Orion and Oleanna get turned into grown-ups by villains, it’s up to the kids in the audience to use their math skills and help the agents decode, decipher and unravel clues. With a little help from Ms. O back at headquarters, the agents and audience members work together to save the day. Some lucky fans will even get to join the fun on stage and use amazing Odd Squad gadgets! (Feb 7 7:00pm)

Who's on Third Concert Series Entertainment/Music 700 N Cascade Dr, Woodburn, OR 97071

Woodburn United Methodist Church - 

Enjoyable live entertainment to the local community.  The title, “Who’s On Third?” is a play on words from the old Abbott and Costello comedy baseball routine – but instead of “first” we used “third” to hopefully help folks remember that our concerts are held on the third Sunday of each month, at 3:00 PM (September – May). 

All concerts are supported with a freewill offering that helps pay for concert expenses. Each concert also has a mid-concert Intermission, with refreshments. See you there!

Cook Park - 

The annual Chocolatathon (chah'-co-lah'-da-thon) returns to Tigard's Cook Park, and features a 5K and 10K race, a kids' 1/4 mile run, as well as a chocolate!

Enjoy the hot chocolate bar, complete with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, crushed nuts, marshmallows, peppermints, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, sprinkles, and lots of hot chocolate for a cool wintry day. (Feb 11)

Liberty High School - Run the beautiful country roads of Hillsboro during the Heart Breaker Half-Marathon and Run/Walk, starting and ending at Liberty High School. The Annual Heart Breaker includes a half-marathon run/walk 10K & 5K and Kids’ 1-mile dash. (Feb 12)

Sweet Home, OR - Mud Fest, formerly known as the Foster Mud Flats and Mountain Mud Festival, is our well known four wheel drive event in Sweet Home, Oregon. From an outsider's point of view the event could look like nothing more than a muddy free-for-all. Nevertheless, when digging deep into the heart of Mud Fest, it is easy to see the admirable results that our muddy play day offers its participants, the sport, and the community. What began as an association play day over 40 years ago has now evolved into a widespread demanded event that we are very proud of. Tickets sell out well before event date. (Mar 4)
